Bio

Rubián Zuluaga is Bachelor in Music from the University of Caldas and Master in Music with an emphasis on Orchestral Conducting at the EAFIT University, with extensive experience in Symphonic Conducting and training processes.

His remarkable career has allowed him to be the guest conductor of groups such as the National Youth Orchestra of the USA, Spengenberg Wind Orchestra, Camerata Jaragua do Sul, IBERACADEMY, Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, among others.

He was appointed in the Internship of the Ministry of Culture of Colombia in the musical improvement courses of the Istituto Musicale Guido Alberto Fano – Spilimbergo (Italy – 2015). He participated in the FEMUSC (2016) (Santa Catarina-Brazil Music Festival) as an assistant to Professor Catherine Larsen-Maguire in the production of the Opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet.

He served as chief conductor of the Pre-juvenile Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá from 2016 to 2019, he was an advisor to the Symphonic area of ​​the Educational Project of the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2022 he participated as Assitant Conductor in “Le Nozze di Figaro” by Wolgang Amadeus Mozart with Martin Hasselböck, he also conducted the “Largest Concert in the World for Truth” with around 16.000 musicians in scene and was a finalist in the “Erich Bergel Competition” in Romania. He is currently appointed as the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra Assistant Conductor.
